Arthur Ross is a product of an era of absolute information and media inundation. As such, his musical inspirations, tastes and capacities are vastly eclectic and he has no problems tastefully segueing between and merging genres.
I strive to create and play 100% of the sounds in my music. There's a lot of fun making it all from scratch. The synths were all created from field recordings with my ZoomH4. They were made out of bag pipes, car horns, and a metro bus. I find sound design fascinating. Drums are from a Yamaha custom kit I recorded in studio. Bass and guitars were played, recorded and then resampled in my studio. I usually start with a rhythm and a bass lick. Then I add all the icing later.
The soundtrack to indie game “Cottage Quest” is a marvel of pointillist synths and chiptune influence—charming and catchy all at once. Bandcamp New & Notable Aug 6, 2023
If the Phantom of the Opera wrote video game music, it might sound something like the sweeping, stately songs on “Place of Honor.” Bandcamp New & Notable Mar 25, 2023
