I am a freelance composer and musician from the state of Maine. I'm originally a self-taught pianist, but I later received training in classical music. Being a life long gamer, I am a fan of video game composers including Nobuo Uematsu, Koji Kondo, Matoi Sakuraba, Grant Kirkhope, and David Wise. Some of my favorite game series include Metroid, The Legend of Zelda, Final Fantasy, and Donkey Kong Country.
In 2004 I began studying Music at the University of Southern Maine. During my studies at college, I wrote and performed music with the USM Composer’s Ensemble. In the spring of 2010 I graduated from USM with a Bachelor of Arts in Music with high honors. When not blogging, I spend most of my time writing music and playing video games. Currently, I am working on an album that I plan to release on Bandcamp at a future date.
Song: Derelict Ship
I recorded and mixed this piece in Logic Pro 9 with the Native InstrumentsDamage library, the Kontakt Player library and the Logic instruments library. I also used my Roland RD-600 for midi control and note input.
The soundtrack to indie game “Cottage Quest” is a marvel of pointillist synths and chiptune influence—charming and catchy all at once. Bandcamp New & Notable Aug 6, 2023
If the Phantom of the Opera wrote video game music, it might sound something like the sweeping, stately songs on “Place of Honor.” Bandcamp New & Notable Mar 25, 2023
