I started making music a year ago using the program LMMS. My style morphed into a strange pseudo-chiptune due to the kinds of sounds I used, and I like it that way. My music tends to be very melody based and I love playing around with harmonies and fun non-chip samples to make all of my songs a little different. I live in Bloomington Indiana and have just graduated with a major in geology.
Song: Lights in the Swamp
Genre: Chiptune Electronica
I used Linux Multimedia Studio and my brain to create this song. It was initially a song that came to me while I was doing geology field camp this summer. I aimed to capture the simultaneous feelings of fear and wonder at being lost in the middle of somewhere beautiful.
The soundtrack to indie game “Cottage Quest” is a marvel of pointillist synths and chiptune influence—charming and catchy all at once. Bandcamp New & Notable Aug 6, 2023
If the Phantom of the Opera wrote video game music, it might sound something like the sweeping, stately songs on “Place of Honor.” Bandcamp New & Notable Mar 25, 2023
